How to Earn an American High School Diploma

There are two ways students can earn an American High School Diploma: enroll full time or attain it in addition to another country’s diploma. For both options, our academic advisors will review previous coursework to ensure that students meet all graduation requirements.

U.S. Dual Diploma Program

Earn an American High School Diploma and your country’s diploma by taking at least 10 semester-length courses online at a Hudson Global Scholars network school along with your local school’s curriculum.

Good for Students Who:

Seek the prestige of having two diplomas
Want to demonstrate a high level of English and academic accomplishment
Hope to attend an English-speaking university

Full-Time American Diploma Program

Enroll full time and earn 20 credits (40 semester-length courses) of American curriculum for grades 9 to 12. Students can transfer up to 15 high school credits from coursework they completed elsewhere.

Good for Students Who:

Completed the IGCSEs but do not intend to complete A Levels
Switch from IB or another non-U.S. educational system
Need an alternative learning option due to elite sports or other activities
