Meet Yen Nhi

Yen Nhi, a graduate of the Hudson Global Scholars Dual Diploma program from Vietnam, has always been interested in learning about the world. She enjoys exploring different cultures and meeting people from other countries. For Nhi, international education was a chance to grow both academically and personally.

Building Skills Through the Dual Diploma Program

Through the Dual Diploma program, Nhi earned a U.S. high school diploma while also completing her Vietnamese diploma. The program helped her improve her English communication and better understand the American style of teaching and learning.

Nhi also enjoyed meeting students from other countries who shared similar goals and dreams. These experiences helped her become more confident speaking with people from different cultures and prepared her for studying abroad.

One of her favorite classes was Study Skills and Strategies, which taught her new ways to learn and study more effectively.

“This course took place in the summer and it was also when I felt the most lazy, but Mr. Morton used many ways to help us feel happy and alert,” she shared.

Studying online also helped Nhi strengthen her time management, concentration, and technology skills. With support from Hudson’s university advisors, she earned acceptance to universities in the United States and Australia, including Adelphi University in New York.

Choosing Australia for University

After considering her options, Nhi decided to continue her studies at Western Sydney University in Australia. Through the Dual Diploma program, she had already gained experience learning in English and working in an international academic environment, which helped her feel prepared to study abroad.

Australia appealed to Nhi because of its strong universities, multicultural environment, and welcoming community for international students. She was excited to study in an English-speaking country while continuing to learn about new cultures and perspectives.

Looking Ahead

At Western Sydney University, Nhi plans to study business and hopes to one day start her own company. “My dream career is to run a small business,” she says, adding that she also hopes to study communication to strengthen her future career opportunities.

With global experience, confidence, and determination, Nhi is well prepared for the next chapter of her academic journey.
