Advance your language skills, broaden your cultural awareness through international travel, and experience life as a U.S. high school student. This ten-day trip includes the rare opportunity to learn at a top private school campus and meet American students, teachers, and staff. With tours of a renowned oceanographic research facility and several elite universities, you will experience the best of U.S. education.

Session Dates

Program Highlights:

  • A multi-day trip to Providence, Rhode Island, in the U.S.A.
  • A customized educational program at the Providence Country Day School, a top American private school with a 100-year tradition
  • A tour of Boston, Massachusetts, one of the most beautiful and historically significant U.S. cities
  • Campus visits at the best U.S. colleges and universities, including Harvard, Brown, MIT and the Museum of Art at the Rhode Island School of Design.
  • A day at the SEA program, a renowned oceanographic institution in Woods Hole, Massachusetts.

Who can attend?

The program is for international high school students, ages 14-17, who wish to:

  • Improve English language skills (proficiency of B1 or better is recommended for this trip)
  • Explore future goals and U.S. university opportunities
  • Increase cultural awareness through international travel
  • Spend time with American high school students, teachers, and staff
  • Participate in a group travel experience, supervised by adult chaperones

 

Accommodations

Students and chaperones will experience real American dorm life as they stay in the modern dormitories at Rhode Island College. Students will be housed in double rooms with most meals served in the college dining hall. Our group will have access to the school’s campus facilities during the stay, including social and learning activities led by university staff.

Cost

The cost is $4,950 (USD) per student. This includes all group meals, bus transportation, study program at PCD, and and dorm accommodations at Rhode Island College with two students per room. A $1,000 non-refundable deposit* is due upon registration to secure your spot.

  • Travel Insurance Required (See example policy.)
  • ESTA/Student VISA or other travel-related documents for entering the U.S.
  • Independent meals, including lunches in Boston and dinners in Providence
  • COVID-19 testing or other required tests

*If the program is canceled by Hudson Global Scholars for any reason, all deposits will be refunded.
