How to Join a Live Session and where to find recordings

Some courses include live instructional sessions with your teacher. These sessions allow you to learn in real time, ask questions, and review course material.

This guide will show you how to join a live session and where to find recordings if you miss a class.

Step 1: Log in to Your Student Dashboard

Start by logging in using the link provided in your enrollment email.

Your login page may look slightly different depending on your school, but it will always include:

  • Username

  • Password

  • Submit/Login button

After logging in, you will be taken to your Student Dashboard.

Step 2: Find Your Course

Scroll down the dashboard until you see your course boxes.

Each course box includes helpful information such as:

  • Course title

  • Instructor name

  • Course start and end dates

  • Current grade

  • Assignment progress

  • A Message Teacher option

  • A Start button

Click the Start button to enter the course.

Step 3: Locate the Live Sessions Link

Hudson Global Scholars uses two different course platforms, but both provide a Live Sessions link.

Platform Option 1

  1. On the course welcome page, scroll down.

  2. Look under the course description or welcome message.

  3. Click Live Sessions.

Platform Option 2

  1. On the course welcome page, find the list of folders and links.

  2. Click Live Session at the top of the list.

Both platforms will open the Live Instructional Sessions page.

Step 4: Join the Live Session

When you open the Live Sessions page, you may see a message in red that says:

“Your instructor has not yet started the live session.”

This simply means you joined a few minutes early.

Once your instructor begins the session, the link will change to blue and say:

Click here to join the live session

Click the link to open the Zoom classroom, where your instructor will begin the lesson.

Step 5: Watch Recorded Sessions

All live sessions are recorded automatically.

If you miss a class or want to review a lesson:

  1. Go to the Live Sessions page

  2. Click View Recorded Sessions

  3. Choose the recording you want to watch

Recordings are labeled by date, making them easy to find.

Recorded sessions are useful for:

  • Reviewing lessons

  • Catching up after an absence

  • Studying before tests or assignments

Troubleshooting: If You Cannot Join a Session

If you are unable to join your live session:

  1. Return to your Student Dashboard

  2. Click Contact Support in the left menu

You can then:

  • Submit a support ticket, or

  • Use Live Chat for immediate help

Tip

Live Chat is often the fastest way to get assistance because you can speak with a support team member in real time.

The chat bubble icon is always available on your dashboard.
