Getting Started
There are several resources available to teachers that will provide more information about facilitating courses. These list will continue to grow as additional professional development is provided and resources are created.
Step 1: Teacher Dashboard
A dashboard has been created in Power Bi for each teacher to review their students progress in the course along with a progress status, assignments needing grading, and communication to students. This data is used during monthly student impact conferences with instructional managers.
Step 2: Teacher Handbook
The Teacher Handbook serves as the primary resource for all policies, procedures, and expectations that teachers are required to follow throughout the academic year. It is designed to support high-quality online instruction, promote student success, and ensure compliance with Hudson Global Scholars' standards for teaching, learning, and professional practice. All teachers are expected to become familiar with the contents of this handbook and refer to it regularly as a guide for fulfilling their instructional responsibilities.
Step 3: Academic Integrity Infraction Teacher Response
The procedures outlined in this document represent the current process for addressing suspected academic integrity violations. As Hudson Global Scholars continues to enhance its learning technologies, these procedures will be updated following the full implementation of Turnitin within Scholis.
Once Turnitin has been fully integrated and operationalized, a revised Academic Integrity Procedure will be published and communicated to all instructional staff. Teachers are expected to follow the current procedures until the updated guidance is formally released.
Step 4: Student Handbook
The Student Handbook is available for all teachers to review and reference as needed throughout the academic year. Every enrolled student, regardless of the school brand under which they are enrolled, receives a copy of the handbook and acknowledges receipt as part of the enrollment process.
Teachers are expected to become familiar with the contents of the Student Handbook, as it establishes the academic, behavioral, and enrollment policies that govern the student experience. Understanding these policies ensures consistency in communication, decision-making, and the application of procedures across all Hudson Global Scholars programs.
